Well it was an AWESOME ride in the Sprint Car
Circuit, never have I been in anything that was as challenging as
those car's are and we had a lot of fun racing them. But like all
good things, it was time to move on to our newest adventure,
"Road Racing" a Stock car! This year, 2013, we
will be running full time, a Luaghlin Chassis GM Late Model in the
ICSSC Conference Racing , with our Home track being Portland
International Raceway. We will be running here at PIR along with
various tracks in the NW such as "The Ridge" in Shelton, WA. Spokane
Raceway, in Spokane, WA. Seattle International, Seattle, WA. ORP
Grass Valley, Oregon. Are just a few we will be running this year.
It will definitely be a learning year with a new Crew Chief, Ryan
"MUFF" Mulligan and a new program. Most of our Sponsor's have
followed us with this new car and I would like to Thank them for
their support, WESTON Buick, GMC, Kia. Mulligans Rod and Custom,
Creative Touch Embroidery, Bob's Wholesale, Fischer Mill Supply,
Splat Designs, and the whole Victory Racing Crew.
We look forward to seeing everyone out at the track, and thank you
for your help!
See you at the Finish Line, Mark
The Victory Racing
name was formed in 1996 when I opened a small retail shop selling
Karts and Parts located in Oregon City, Oregon. We no longer sell
Karts or parts but concentrate solely on Racing.
I live in Eagle Creek with my loving and very understanding wife. I
have two daughters with families of their own; one here in
Clackamas, Oregon, the other in Keller, Texas. I have two awesome
grandkids and I Work at Fischer Mill Supply selling Tractor's and
Equipment.
I won my first trophy in a Tricycle race at a very early age and
have been racing ever since.....Raced 3 wheelers, Quads, and Sand dragged my CJ -7 Jeep. I also Mud
Bogged in my 1984 CJ - 7 Jeep on 44's. Started racing Monster trucks
and toured for about a year doing that. Then I received an offer to
drive a Northwest Road Race Tour car and did that for a while
Road Racing.
Went into Drag Racing a 64 Nova , then got out of that and started
racing Karts. Won the Grand Nationals in an Inter - Continental
class here at Portland International Raceway running a 125 Shifter
Kart. I moved into a 250 Super Kart then got out of Racing for about
a year
I was on my way, with two other buddies I race with to a fellow
racer's funeral one day. As we were driving up to Seattle we were
talking about racing.. At the same time they both said "Hey we know
a guy that wants to sell a Pro 4 Modified Dirt Car and everything
that goes with it" So on our way back we went over to his shop to
check it out.. Just LOOK!
I have been broke ever since!! Thanks Mike and John...
I then got back into racing a Pro 4 Modified Dirt car and won Rookie
of the Year . The next year I won the hardship award then won the
championship in the 3rd year. I was talked into a Sprint car in 2008
and ran in the ODSS (Oregon Double Shot Series) and received Rookie
of the Year and placed 4th in points. My following year I placed 3rd
in points and then started racing a 360 Non - Wing Open Sprint car
in the NWWT (Northwest Wingless Tour) of which we helped organize.
Last year, 2011, ran a light schedule with a Limited motor and
placed 6th overall.
Another form of Racing we do is a Road Race series called "Chump Car
Race" Where we run a Team of 4 drivers and do a 12 to 24 hour Race
with a 91 Camaro Z28....
